Community COVID-19 update

Bless you, lovely community, for sticking with us as we navigate this pandemic, and for finding creative options to stay empowered and uplifted!

We strongly believe in Movement Medicine at this time, so let’s continue to stay committed to taking the best precautions possible.

Now, the logistical part...

First and foremost, it is important to us that we stay in accordance with the Santa Cruz Health Services guidelines*. We are actively monitoring the recommendations of local, state and federal health authorities and might revise its plan of action at any time.

At this time…

We are leaving individual FACILITATORS AT CHOICE on how they would like to run their weekly offering with the information they have. In other words, stay connected with your facilitators to get current statuses on their classes/offerings.

We, as an organization, will continue to communicate our up-to-date studio and facilitator guidelines that ALL community members must adhere to.

That said, below are our updated Studio Guidelines:

  • NEW as of 3/12: For your safety and in accordance with Santa Cruz Health Services guidance*, we are limiting studio capacity to 50 dancers. If you have a compromised immune system or any health concerns, please strongly consider not entering The 418 Project.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly for 20 seconds upon arriving and departing.
  • Please avoid touching your own and each others faces (easier said than done, yes).
  • If you have any flu-like symptoms–mild or severe–such as fever, dry cough, runny nose, sore throat, or difficulty breathing, please do not enter The 418 Project.
  • If you have been traveling, particularly by air and especially if you have been to COVID-19 exposed areas, please do not enter The 418 Project, until you have cleared the incubation period (14 days) and/or have been tested.

We love you. We’ve got this. We will move and move through this together!

With love,
Abby, Sean, & The 418 Project staff/board
