About This Event

Sun., October 4th** – 6:30 PM – LARGE THEATER**

HEALING SOUNDBATH OFFERING - with creative mystic Sera Timms

Using crystal & brass singing bowls, gong, chimes, rain stick and more, this soundbath promotes deep relaxation, calm and peace as participants receive deep holistic frequency healing to balance both the collective and individual human biofield.

Attendees will comfortably lie down for the duration of the soundbath, being given the opportunity to receive and experience the resonant healing vibrations as they fill the space.

Benefits of Sound Healing:

  • Lowers heart rate and blood pressure
  • Diminishes stress and anxiety
  • Activates your parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest-and-digest" mode)
  • Encourages deep relaxation which aides in meditation
  • Triggers the brain to chemically release natural opiates reducing pain and swelling
  • Awakens, aligns and balances the Chakra energy centers in the body
  • The vibrations help shift your brain from active, overthinking states to slower alpha and theta waves, which are linked to deep meditation and REM sleep

Overall, participants can expect to leave feeling rejuvenated, balanced and centered.

Note: participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats, cushions and blankets if they’d like. The 418 will have yoga mats and blankets available as well.

Event duration: approx. 1 hour.

Bio:

A self-described creative mystic, Sera Beth Timms began her healing path through visual art, music, dream work and imagination, always seeking to find a deeper path of fulfillment and truth than that which the status quo construct had ascribed to the world.

Music, sound, and frequency are a deep part of her personal lineage, coming from a patriarchal line of talented musicians, including her father, who spent his life on the road in the outlaw country world. Sera has been creating and performing music for over 25 years now and has found the perfect marriage of healing arts and creative expression through the art of soundbaths.

Sera began facilitating soundbaths and sound healing ceremonies in 2021 while immersing herself into the study of Usui Reiki, energy healing, metaphysics, and yoga while in upstate New York working for Bodhi Holistic Spa and Yoga. She has built her practice over 17 years as a conduit to the illuminating intelligences of tarot, astrology, I-ching, runes, indigenous wisdom, goddess work, ceremonial magick, Hermetic Qabalah, and crystal healing, as well as being a lifelong student of the esoteric mysteries.

Visiting The 418 Project: What to Expect

House guidelines to ensure a welcoming, inclusive space for everyone

Our sprung wood and theater dance floors are shoe-free zones to preserve the floor and keep movement safe. Please remove outdoor footwear and place them in the cubbies in our lobby upon arrival. Barefoot, dance socks, or indoor-only soft dance shoes are welcome!
We have a filtered water bottle refill station on-site, so feel free to bring a refillable bottle. All restrooms are all-gender, ADA-accessible, and located conveniently on the ground floor.
To ensure everyone can breathe and move comfortably—especially community members with chemical sensitivities and asthma—The 418 Project is a low-fragrance space. Please refrain from applying perfumes, scented colognes, or strongly scented lotions before attending.
As an artist-driven non-profit collective, we believe movement and art should be accessible to all regardless of financial circumstances. Many events feature sliding scale tickets, and we offer work-trade opportunities for community members who wish to volunteer in exchange for admission.
