River to the Sea is a community-centered arts and cultural event taking place on April 19 from 1–8 PM, spanning San Lorenzo Park, the Dragon’s Gate Bridge, and The 418 Project. This event brings together artists, organizations, and community members for a day of creative programming, connection, and shared experience as we transition into the summer season.

Rooted in the belief that art can bridge spaces and communities, River to the Sea weaves together outdoor and indoor environments through a diverse range of programming. The event will feature a mural progress unveiling, live music, community tabling, food and crafts, and interactive activities for all ages, culminating in a sunset fire dancing performance at the Dragon’s Gate Bridge.

We are intentionally creating space for collaboration—inviting local organizations, artists, and community groups to participate in shaping the event. Whether through tabling, co-creating programming, sharing resources, or sponsoring, River to the Sea is an opportunity to engage directly with the Santa Cruz community in a vibrant, accessible setting.

This event is designed not only as a celebration, but as a platform for connection—linking creative expression, community presence, and shared public space. By bringing together diverse voices and practices, we aim to create an experience that reflects the energy, creativity, and collective spirit of our region.
