About This Event

HONORING THE DARK SEASON: A SAMHAIN CELEBRATION with Casey Zabala

Come celebrate the thinning of the veil and the season of the ancestors with magical comunity. Samhain is the Autumn cross-quarter festival also known as All Hallows, or All Souls Night. For Celtic pagans, witches, and animists, Samhain is celebrated as the New Year, a time for honoring endings, and affirming the cycle of life.

Join intuitive interdisciplinary witch Casey Zabala for a Samhain celebration that honors the blessings of the dark season, remembers those we have lost, and embraces the wisdom of Earth's cycles. Within ritual space Casey will guide participants through meditative practices, share energetic and traditional aspects of Samhain, and lead a spiralic ritual for integration and remembrance.

*All are welcomed! Casey will be holding space for witches and witch-curious folks to gather and practice reverence for the sacred. This is a non-dogmatic offering for magical connection.

Bio:

Casey Zabala is an author, interdisciplinary artist, and intuitive witch. At home in the overlooked intersections of dreams, meadows, and used bookshops, Casey has always known herself as a witch, hedge-walker, and weaver between worlds from an early age. Casey is the creatrix behind the Witches Confluence, and is the host of the Modern Witches podcast. Her published divinatory tools include Wanderer’s Tarot, and Wyrd Sisters Oracle, and she is the editor of “A Confluence of Witches: Celebrating our Lunar Roots, Decolonizing the Craft, and Reenchanting our World.” Whether writing, art-making, or teaching, magic will always fall at the center of her practice. She believes that divination is a tool for empowerment, re-enchantment and healing, and that witches play a pivotal role in our collective liberation and planetary healing.

Ticket Price: $20 advance / $25 at the door. Limited to 80 people maximum.

Visiting The 418 Project: What to Expect

House guidelines to ensure a welcoming, inclusive space for everyone

Our sprung wood and theater dance floors are shoe-free zones to preserve the floor and keep movement safe. Please remove outdoor footwear and place them in the cubbies in our lobby upon arrival. Barefoot, dance socks, or indoor-only soft dance shoes are welcome!
We have a filtered water bottle refill station on-site, so feel free to bring a refillable bottle. All restrooms are all-gender, ADA-accessible, and located conveniently on the ground floor.
To ensure everyone can breathe and move comfortably—especially community members with chemical sensitivities and asthma—The 418 Project is a low-fragrance space. Please refrain from applying perfumes, scented colognes, or strongly scented lotions before attending.
As an artist-driven non-profit collective, we believe movement and art should be accessible to all regardless of financial circumstances. Many events feature sliding scale tickets, and we offer work-trade opportunities for community members who wish to volunteer in exchange for admission.
